Kodava Koota in the year 2018-2019 managed to raise funds and was able to assist lot of activities with the help of NGO’s back in india to help rebuild Kodagu.

We are still collecting funds for the KodaguRebuild/ Relief activities.

Fe of the achievements were

Successfully setup a Kodava Koota Trust in India to assist the Kodagu Relief activity and currently working on the FCRA certificate. This will enable us to help more organizations in Kodagu. A big thank you to Boverianda Raghu Nanjappa who helped us with the process
Teamed up with Bharatiya Vidhya Bhavan’s Project Coorg initiative. This association is helping the women of Kalur Village to become entrepreneurs by selling their projects under “Coorg Flavors”. Also Sponsored a Van for the products to be transported to the markets 7 days a week to help increase the sale of the products.
Worked with Lions club of Gonikoppa, Kodagu model forest trust and Coorg Wildlife Society with purchasing 50,000 Vetiver Tillers to be planted in the landslide effected areas.
Working with Coorg Clean Initiative and Hasirudala to establish Dry waste recycling in Kodagu. Project process is still getting worked on
Helping Sai Shankar School by building an IT Infrastructure for the kids who attend this school. This school houses about 165 Kodava kids who were displaced due to the floods and landslides..

Kodava Koota has already worked with few companies to help with the employee contribution to be matched by their employers.

To get to know more about the matching funds from your employer, please get in touch with your company’s Relation officer or HR and see what documents are needed and Kodava Koota will help with the needed paperwork.
